So much to see around the house

I can sit for hours (well as long as the kids are playing nicely) in the yard and just look at the flowers, insects and animals. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Birds on the land

Although not the clearest because of the distance, I was so excited to look out the kitchen window one morning and see this Kingfisher!

We have also spotted Great Blue Herons (very sensitive to sound and huge!) and several Egrets.

Caterpillars

As I was writing this post this morning, I was called into the yard to check this out! A Hickory Tussock Moth Caterpillar!

Getting Ready for Fall

With a little planning and a lot of work, hopefully we will get a lot of cleanup done around the yard to make way for more planting in the Spring. Hoping for more flowers and pollinators…and wishing for more than a few garden veggies next year!
